Who is Ted ?

Ted Taylor
Experienced and licenced American teacher with training in Iyengar, Sivananda, and Ashtanga styles of yoga. Not limited to any single style, Ted's classes focus on the connection of the body and mind through training in asana, pranayama, and meditation. Much emphasis is placed on the physical sensations arising during asana practice, encouraging the student to explore how this relates to movement principles and to the use of the body in everyday life. Correct use of the breath (pranayama) is also studied, leading to ease of movement and to deeper states of relaxation and meditation. Ted fuses traditional asana practice with contemporary anatomy and bodywork. His teaching is grounded in the mindfulness techniques of the East, yet taught with humor and with a sensitivity to the unique needs of the individual student.
